It's great when you find a song that sums up how you are feeling.

Some of us can actually write songs and so skip right to the chase, the rest of us borrow from others.
So with apologies to Things of Stone and Wood (Greg Arnold wrote it on the birth of his first child, but I took the liberty of changing the odd word or two) here is the song that sums up the last week and a bit.

Safe and Sound

You fell out of a blue sky
Landed with a smile in my open arms
I thought that there'd be fireworks
But you lit the night like a billion stars

Greet it all eyes open wide,

We will be there standing by your side.

I thought that I'd heard tambourines,
Then you were a back beat across my heart.

I thought you'd be a tiny grin
Then you hit the cool room like a belly laugh
If you're sad it won't be long
I will keep you warm in song tonight.

The whole world is a carnival
Wrap your arms around my neck,
We'll go see it all
If you ever get scared
I will be around

Going to keep you safe and sound

I dreamed you as a tear drop,
Then you hit the shore like a cyclone
Changing everything I'd ever know You where the wheel, you were like fire

The whole world is a carnival

Wrap your arms around my neck,
We'll go see it
all
If you ever get scared
I will be around
Going to keep you safe and sound
